Advice to Baruch College

When I was a college student in Korea, there were a lot of online classes. There were a lot of advantages for the enable students who had lack of time to attend classes in their busy schedules to learn at their own time such as full-time workers. I do not mean only blogs and wikis to contribute. There were their own systems like online lecture with video. We could take some quizzes and even exam (but there was certain time for exam like one day). Online classes give flexibility. A student can usually take the course any time during the day or week. While there are custom essay writing and researching assignments to complete, the precise time to take the class often depends on the student's desire. Students who work are able to take the class based on their schedules. Many students work on their course during the middle of the night or early in the morning. The flexibility of the course makes it possible for a person to complete the course, while attending college courses in person might be impossible due to their work schedules. Also, online class, students often offer accelerated courses, and last but not least is the fact that they are convenient for the student.
So,I hope we have a online classes in Baruch

  1. Online classes would make our lives that much easier but it dilutes the essence of what college is.

  2. Lots of online classes? That's interesting. I was watching a documentary that mentioned that South Korean government is afraid that its citizens are spending too much time online. Not that this is a confirmation of that fear, but still interesting to think about.

  3. I think hybrid classes like the one we have is pretty good (but maybe have more WWWEB classes ;]). We can work ahead if we want and if we have a question about anything, we can always ask the professor in class. I'm guessing if you have a problem in an purely online course, you would have to constantly exchange emails.

  4. Personally I do not like online classes because I like going to school to interact with others and online classes do not allow this to happen. But I do like hybrid classes like the New Media course.

  6. I would like if some classes are online while you go to school to interact with others. Then you can organize your schedule better due to the online classes.

  7. i think hybrid class wouldnt be that effective as the real classroom but yeah, prof should upload a lecture video online so just incase if someone can not make it those people can watch and not miss the material.
